I haven't heard anything very inspiring about Rutgers Univerisity's Science Department.
HAs anyone heard of its reputation?
I must decide between Boston U and Rutgers U and am confused on where to go so I'm using the reputation of their science departments as a decided factor since I'm going into science.

It's science programs are good. I have always had the impression that BostonU was more of a social science/business type school and wasn't dominant in the science department. Rutgers is the clear choice if you take research into account.
If you foresee medicine in your future, there's this great opportunity at UMDNJ that allows some of the best science/med students in from RU without requiring the MCATs.
RU's reputation is very good despite many misconceptions of instate students. Employer's and a lot of people out of state think highly of it.

^ Thats a good way to put it. The sciences at Rutgers is very intense, definitely not a pushover. Pharmacy and pre-med are very competitive and the physics department is also pretty decent as a lot of the engineers that I know can attest too.
