Rutgers New Brunswick class of 2022 or class of 2024(PharmD) thread

I was accepted to SAS, SEBS, SN at Rutgers - New Brunswick!
GPA: 3.45 uw, 3.87 w
SAT: 1540

Do you know around how many EMSOP students were admitted so far? Did they fill the majority of their spots?

@mohchan360

@collegeinfo9200 I have no idea how many EMSOP students were admitted so far. The typical EMSOP class is actually only around 200 students. The reason they admit around 800 is because they expect a 25% yield out of all students admitted.

S accepted into SAS, 3.81 UW GPA, 34 ACT. The offer doesn’t mention major, though. Does it imply the first applied major is assured?

Same!!!

@lv1999a SAS doesn’t admit by major, you have until the end of your freshmen year to declare any major/minor or double major that is offered under SAS.

@mohchan360 thanks!

Still in process, does anyone know if anything could be coming out tonight or this week?

Good question. When do we find out?

@tahrio I have the same question.

Holy moly - a whole thread just for PharmD!

Good luck peeps! This is low-key one of the best pharmacy opportunities in the world.

How about Rutgers CS? Is it any good? I have heard people saying that undergrad cs is pretty weak and that the good ranking is due to grad school for cs.

@RACOON1012

Rutgers CS UG is def. respectable. You might have to network or sell yourself a bit harder than students @ “top” CS schools like Berkeley, MIT, CMU, Stanford, GTech, UIUC, Cornell, Michigan, etc., but you’ll be fine - especially if you are set on a “software engineering” type of role.

If you plan on leveraging your CS degree for something like Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or Trading, then you have some significant hoops to jump through and a “top-ranked” school will make a huge difference.

I have tons of friends at Rutgers and some of those “top-ranked” CS programs, so I’ve got a decent idea of what’s up.

Hi guys does anyone know when information on merit scholarships come out?

Bella99: from Rutgers site:
Merit-Based Scholarships
All admitted students are automatically considered for a merit-based scholarship as long as they applied by our December 1 regular action application due date (and had all required credentials submitted by December 15).

We expect to begin to notify those students who do qualify for a merit-based scholarship award starting in early February.

did any admitted kids make a gorutgers account yet?

yes and have been on it

I’m curious, have any of the people who have heard back already been deferred or rejected?
