Hey guys I am enrolled at Rutgers Newark and I've been trying to dig out details to transfer to New Brunswick after the fall semester. What I have been told is that it is possible but I am not guaranteeing that information to be correct. I have read their school-to-school transfer requirements for the different schools but I cannot dig out anything regarding Pre-Med majors. I just talked to one of the admissions counselors and she said she wasn't sure and she said I would get a phone call back.

So does anybody know if there is a way to transfer to New Brunswick after a semester?
Is Pre-Med a way around this? Any information would be a giant help, thanks!

As you may already know, there is no pre-med major at Rutgers. So, you would be applying for a school-to-school transfer to either the School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers-New Brunswick. I do not think you will be able to transfer to Rutgers-New Brunswick after just one semester as it states on the school-to-school transfer website:

"Transfer Eligibility: Students applying from Rutgers-Newark and Rutgers-Camden (Newark College of Arts and Sciences, Camden College of Arts and Sciences, and Newark and Camden University Colleges) must have completed at least two semesters, including the current semester, as students in their present school or college at Rutgers University. "

I have a feeling they are pretty strict about this, as I’m sure students like you have wanted to transfer earlier.
