Im in a bit of a crunch.....I was accepted by both Rutgers University NB and Stevens Institute of Technology, does any know about how respected the engineering program, particularly the Civil Engineering program is at Rutgers, and how good the job opportunities are? Also, which of the two programs is more renowned?

Rutgers hands down. With all do respect, Stevens is a great school and everything, but Rutgers has a higher rank and is more respected. This all will lead to better job oppurtunities. Check it out yourself : http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/natudoc/tier1/t1natudoc_brief.php

ranking wise it is true that Rutgers blows Stevens out of the water according to the U.S. news and world report, but if u look a little closer and compare, you would see that SAT score wise Rutgers cannot compare as well as in other factors....It may not be on the website for the U.S. news and world report but pick up a copy from your local barnes and nobles and compare...I just wanna make sure im making the right choice afterall this decision is a big one you know??

This website has detailed information on engineering schools...
