<p>I previously posted asking for advice between University of Maryland or TCNJ, and although i liked Maryland a lot, I think its may be too expensive. So now I have to decide between TCNJ and Rutgers for computer science. I understand that Rutgers has a better computer science department, but i also like the small size of tcnj. Which one has a better reputation? They are almost equal in price, rutgers being a tad bit cheaper. Any advice?</p>

<p>As I wrote in your other post before, your need to take 10 to 15 CS courses for the major. TCNJ will definitely provide good, or mediocre as another member claimed, 20 courses for its students.</p>
<p>TCNJ is very reputable in NJ. If you do well, you should not have any problem getting a job. It really comes down to what kinds of school do you want to spend the next 4 years. If you are ready to do ground breaking research with the professors, Rutgers is definitely better than TCNJ. Otherwise I will suggest that you pick a school that you like. Hope this will help. :)</p>
<p>Don't pick on the credibility of the department. That was a huge mistake for me as I decided to go to Rutgers for its Philosophy Department and I am now transferring. Not because the department it bad, in fact, it is as strong as people say it is. But everything else about Rutgers sucks to me that it is not even worth it to stay here. Class size is horrible, faculty generally don't care about you, in class conversation never happens, social life is only on college ave, and people go home every weekend(also at TCNJ).</p>
