So I want to major in history (preferably European) since it has always been my passion. I was thinking of possibly teaching and would want to get a masters degree as well at some point-anyway, which college would be better for a major in history? Distance plays a role as well since I preferrably wish to commute and TCNJ looks more attractive in that sense in that it is only 30 minutes away while Rutgers New Brunswick is 45-50 minutes away.

I am confident I will have no problem being accepted into either school, so that isn't a problem.

I commuted for all four of my years at Rutgers University so I understand how important of a factor it can be. Regardless of which school you choose, I think it’s helpful to see what kind of classes you’d be taking and what your major requirements might be.
