<p>Hey guys, I've already made a thread on Purdue/Drexel, but have recently discovered my interest in rutgers pharmacy program. Chances? I realize I'm kinda pitiful, but I hope the pharmacy experience will help me greatly. Opinions? thanks (:</p>

26 on ACT (25 first time) 10/12 writing score
By graduation, I'll have twelve AP classes under my belt... everything else is Honors
AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC, AP Psych, APUSH, AP Euro., AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Stats, AP Gov, AP Lit, AP Lang, AP Physics B
Pharmacy Intern (they loved me so much they gave me a job!)
Student Tutor in Chemistry/History
Volunteer over 100 hours at local library, school functions, charities, seasonal events, used book sales, used clothing sales
National Honors Society
Recycling club
AP Scholar
My teacher rec's were good, I suppose
Essay was dandy</p>

ACT scores are low, as is GPA. Pharm is the hardest school to get into at RU and u need ACT of 31-33 with high GPA. Someone on CC said their acceptance rate was around 8% but i cannot confirm that. Say a prayer…</p>

<p>I got in with ACT 32 and high GPA (4.23 W). Plus i had legacy at RU which maybe helped? not totally sure…</p>

<p>Did u apply to Pharm in NB or Newark 2+4?</p>

<p>Don’t worry that much about your ACT score. Rutgers do care alot about ACTS/SATs, but you can def. make up for it in other areas. I got into their pharmacy program just 2 weeks ago. My ACT was only a 27, but my GPA was a 4.8 weighted.</p>

sorry for bringing this thread back alive but if someone would be willing to chance me at Rutgers and St. John’s 0-6 pharm programs please!

4.5 weighted gpa (97.8% weighted gpa)
31 act
rank- 77/740 (top 11 percent approximately)
6 AP classes (Lang, Art History, Chem, Bio, Psych, Lit)
good extracurriculars both in school and out of school (a lot to list all of them)
dont have rec letters yet but I know they will be good (chem teacher and guidance counselor)
applying early

Indian male in New Jersey
Mom is an alumni (undergrad) of St. John’s , dad took some classes but i don’t think that counts
Dad went to grad school at Rutgers but i dont think rutgers will take an alumni relationship
willing to dorm on campus

You have an alright chance. Your gpa is pretty good but your APs are more english/history oriented than science/math oriented. Try to get up your ACT/SAT scores. The pharmacy school is very rigorous, and you really need something to help your application stand out

I think you will get in, as long as your High school is known for being competitive/rigorous. A 4.5 is an amazing GPA. I think your ACT is just below the average for pharmacy school. I think the average is around a 32/2100. Good luck.

@Nishanth698 For future reference, make your own thread instead of hijacking old/other people’s threads.

You have a decent chance. Rutgers Pharmacy emphasizes stats so they look at your SAT/ACT score. I got in with a 33/2130 so you should be good.

I graduated from st. johns as an R.Ph, a great experience, & from what I hear Rutgers is soo imposible to do well in the sciences heard from many parents & students !!! too many to count!!. they’ve been taking major classes outside of rutgers once they figure this out before their GPA is ruined…
