I was declined admission from Rutgers NB with a GPA of 3.2 and a SAT score of 1190. I called the admission counselor and all she said was that my application was not strong enough and that my SAT score was not strong enough for admission. She told me that I could send in my first-semester transcript, and a letter explaining why I should be reconsidered. I was wondering if there is anything I could put in my letter that would increase my chances of getting in.
I was declined admission also to Rutgers NB SAS and even Rutgers Newark CAS as a transfer student with a 3.0 gpa for the fall 2017 semester. Im a freshman in college rn. The admissions counselor at Newark told me that it was bc i didnt take any math my first semester and my school didn’t show my spring semester courses so I didnt fulfill the math requirement for entry. She said if they did they would’ve given me a “Spring 2017 Grades Requested” anyway. She told me to just send my spring semester grades. The one at NB told me they denied me because I withdrew from my math class first semester. I dont even care about Rutgers NB tbh, I wanted to be at the newark campus anyway.
Anyway, I know you’re interested in Rutgers NB, which school did you apply to? I suppose what you can write (which is what Im going to write for newark) is how you’re going to leave your mark at Rutgers if you go there. Talk about how badly you want to go there.
@nz1998 how long did you have to wait for your admission decision?
@helloworld649 I submitted the application November 27th. On January 23rd I heard from Rutgers NB SAS. February 13th I heard from Rutgers Newark CAS.
@helloworld649 Also, January 10th is when Rutgers Newark received my transcripts. So 34 days it took Newark.
I applied to SOE and SAS
