Rutgers SAS Honors Program for Transfers

Hi! I am a transfer student and will be attending Rutgers as a junior in the fall. I am applying to the SAS Honors Program and noticed that the website says that transfers will be considered. I asked if the requirements of the honors program are different from the current students who have been in the program since freshmen year since they have had four years and transfers do not. The staff answered that the requirements are the same for all students. As a transfer student, would it be worth it to join the Honors Program? I know that honors students are guaranteed housing which is a bonus for transfers.

Thanks!

As I understand, you just won’t graduate with honors if you choose not to fulfill all the requirements. You can still accept the benefits until then.

Yeah do it. You don’t lose anything and its sometimes helpful. You can put it on resumes, get into better intro classes and who knows, maybe even finish it.

Okay, thanks!! I will try my best.
