Hi, I’m an in-state student and applied to SAS, unfortunately, Rutgers gave me NO merit aid despite having a 1490 on the SAT, a 3.9 UW GPA, and 14 in my highly competitive class of 332. I have friends with similar stats who received the Scarlet Scholarship, is my situation unusual, if so should I call?
I also have similar stats and didnt even get an email. I dont know what to do.
Last year I had similar stats and initially received nothing as well. I wrote an email to my dean appealing the decision of the scholarship committee, and scanned and attached any scholarship award letters I had gotten from other schools. The committee sent me a message in mid April stating that it had decided to award me the Scarlet Scholarship.
Thank you so much, so should I get in touch with a SAS dean?
@Advil64 Yeah, I’d go to http://sas.rutgers.edu/office-of-the-dean/leadership-and-directory and figure out which deans to contact based on who you think is relevant to your situation. Definitely contact the Exec Dean/Exec Vice Dean, the Dean of your major, and maybe the Vice Dean of Undergrad Education.
@mohchan360 Alright, I’ve written one of the deans an email explaining my situation, I really hope I end up receiving the Scarlet Scholarship. Thanks so much for your help!
@mohchan360 Who would I contact for RBS Honors College scholarship appeal?
@MrElonMusk I’d refer to http://www.business.rutgers.edu/about-rbs/leadership and contact whomever you see fit.
