can someone tell me what a typical week/weekend is like at rutgers?

Weekends are what you make them. Some kids go home, others study, but there are plenty of parties and campus activities to keep you occupied.

Weekends starts on Thursdays for some. Yep, some kids go home almost every weekend (me!), others are working on homework or having a little group study sessions at the libraries and such. And then there are those who spend practically the whole weekend hanging around in their dorms playing video games or blasting music.

And there are definitely parties and activities sponsored by clubs and the RUPA (which is the program association here on campus. You can get involve with RUPA too if you feel like you want to keep yourself busy).

If you want to get off campus, hop a train to New York City or Philadelphia.

Weekends start on Thursdays, definitely. On college ave, at least, everyone is gone from the dorms by 11:30 and out at frat/house parties. You'll see huge crowds of people walking along the sidewalks around new brunswick. Fridays and Saturdays are pretty much the same. There's always something to do.

Weekdays are pretty quiet... most people get work done so they can slack off on the weekends, but there are always a couple kids who stay up playing video games or just talking till like four in the morning.

i went up for halloween on saturday so the weekend was coming to close. saw a couple of house parties, went to the baseball house party. i dont think any frats were having any parties. fun college atmosphere, VERY cold (especially at 3am) - not as much college kids as i thought would be were walking the streets. some of the parties had some jerks staring down the freshman and asking for money but i guess thats college.
