How hard is it to go from Rutgers Pre Med to good medical schools? How is the Pre-Med program at Rutgers in general?

There is no such thing as “pre-med program.” Pre-med option describes the track in which a student takes a series of courses that are required by med schools in order to pursue medical career. To answer your question, it depends on what college (program) you are part of whether it be SAS, SEBS, SOP, or SOE. For students who are majoring in science fields, you would expect the percentage to be a bit higher. But I know someone who was a part of Mason Gross who applied to med school and got in. This person obviously had to try harder than science students since no science course is required at Mason Gross. Compared to private schools, it is not easy to get into a med school from a large state college especially like Rutgers. This is because large class size often hinders stduents to closely interact with professors, thereby not being able to receive meaningful letters of recommendation.
