I recently applied on the 8th of January, Some of my documents are still in process of reaching Rutgers.
Have any other transfer students already been accepted?
Yup. Was accepted to RBS, SAS & SEBS all New Brunswick!
What are your stats? @rutonyu
I was recently accepted to RBS and SAS from MCC as well.
@jerry95 lemme get some stats people
Just accepted this week to SAS and RBS New Brunswick with RBS Newark in process.
3.8 GPA with 61 credits
Well…I was just rejected to RBS NB with 4.0 61 credits and 20 yrs corporate experience. Left corporate to get my degree and come back. Started a company. Still stunned. I could teach half of those classes.
3.9 gpa at MCC will have my associates this spring and all pre-buisness classes finished
@PalfromJersey I had a 3.83 GPA for my first semester & 3.5 cumulative high school GPA. I also had a 1670 SAT (but wasn’t considered in the application).
Is anyone planning on applying for housing?
i applied January 19th, but my status is not showing up. anyone else have this issue?
@rutonyu how come your SAT was not considered in the application?
I applied on January 30th and the rest of my credentials were received on Feb 2. I haven’t gotten a decision from any of the 3 campuses, but I don’t expect a decision this soon anyway. I’m just wondering how long I’ll have to wait until I know if I’m accepted or not.
I received a status update yesterday. So far I was rejected to RBS-NB (first choice); in Progress RBS-NWK (second choice); accepted to SAS-NB which I didn’t ask for and I have no intentions to attend it.
I’m transferring from MCC where I’ll be graduating this semester. Sent transcript with 50 credits and a GPA of 3.72. (8:A, 4:A-, 3:B+, 2:B). I’m really upset I didn’t get into RBS-NB as I live just 10 minutes from its campus.
I’m also a PTK member (Btw, Rutgers awards an automatic $8,000 grant to PTK members transferring with a GPA of 3.8/+).
@shmittythepirate Expect a response within a week or two. I was accepted a couple days after my credentials were received.
@ThaliO There is only about 25 scholarships per semester for PTK members.

Not too many EC’s at my CC. I hope that won’t affect any scholarship opportunities.
Does anyone know how competitive the transfer scholarships are? I hope that with my stats I’ll be awarded the PTK Scholarship. Fifty awards a year is not too many though. I suppose I’ll find out by the end of next week.
