Just wondering if anyone who has applied for transfer for Fall '09 has been accepted yet? I know it's still really early for me to either get a thumbs up or a thumbs down but I am just wondering approximately how long our wait is for transfer apps... They received my transcript on December 23, 2008

Anyway, while I'm waiting what do you think my chances are?

Applied to Rutgers Business School Newark Campus (NB doesn't take transfer apps)
I will have completed my Associates at a county college in less than 1 year (finishing spring '09)
Through 40 credits I have a 3.48 GPA with all of the RBS pre-requisite classes either completed, currently taking in winter semester or planned for Spring Semester.

Good Extra-curricular history including Phi Theta Kappa

Hey! I applied to Rutgers as a transfer from Montclair State for Fall 2009, and they still have not received my transcript!
Im not sure if i'll get in though =/ This is my first semester as a freshman at Montclair and my GPA is a 3.0 which on a scale of a 100 was 85% =x. My high school GPA was a 3.1 and they did NOT rank. My SAT scores were [Math-600] [Writing-520] [Reading-420] Does anyone know my chances of getting in? - Has anyone been in a similar situation and been accepted or know of someone who has been accepted as a Transfer student?

...but NJKen, I talked to a Rutgers Professor a couple of days ago, and he said that there is guaranteed admission for anyone with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from a community/county college. You will def. get in, so no worries =]

and acceptance/rejection notice -- Rutgers deadline for notice is April, but if admission reviews your file soon, you can find out earlier.

If you have an associates degree from a CC and a 3.0 you have a high chance to get in. If you CC has dual admission and if have a 3.0 than I believe youll get in. But as a transfer that does not hold a associates degree and a trasnfer from a 4-year uiniversity you have to have a 3.0 to be considered.

Sunnybeanz, I am in a similar situation as you. But I am transfering from a CC with a 3.6 after 19 credits. So if I heard anything from admissions I will let you know.

i applied in september, and they still never got my transcript either haha
i talked to them again, and they said if they dont find it by end of this week, to give them a call again.. :(

My stats:
Major: Molecular Biology with a Chemistry Minor (48 credits completed)
GPA: 3.63 Cumulative (kinda mad about this but thats a whole other story)
ECs: 2 internships, 2 jobs, and tons of community service :)

also applied to: University of Texas - Austin, and my dream college USC

I too have applied to Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences in New Brunswick for Fall 09'. I made certain to have all my documents in by the priority application deadline date for Fall students (Jan 15) but I have yet to receive my acceptance/rejection letter.

GPA 3.97
Phi Theta Kappa
Good ECA's
Major: Education

I too am transferring from a CC and have also heard that CC transfers with 3.0 or better are almost guaranteed entry. Hope it's true. Will post again as soon as my RU application status changes. Good luck all!!

I just transferred in fall 08. They made me wait to hear back until literally two or three days before the day they said decisions were coming out. Just from what I remember last year it seems like most people were waiting up until two/three weeks before that deadline (I think it was april 15th...? sorry, I forget).

Sunnybeanz: I had a 3.3 in high school but a 3.8 my first year of college. I think as long as you have above a 3.0 and are in state you should be okay.

I'll be crossing my fingers for all of you. Having to wait really sucks.

I've been diligently checking my application status everyday (i know, sad right) and have yet to have a change in status. Has anyone received an acceptance/rejection letter as of yet?

A friend of one of my friends at Fordham who applied as a transfer got in, but he knows somebody in admission which is how he found out so early? Hopefully we'll be hearing soon!

for anyone who has been accepted as a transfer to Rutgers, did you receive and email notifying you of the acceptance? if so, was the email prior or subsequent to the final update of your status screen?

Btw, J.Butler, did your buddy find out via email, acceptance package, or Rutgers status screen, or did the person in admissions who knows him just verbally tell him that he would get in?
