I'm thinking about transferring to Rutgers University New Brunswick. As a high school senior, I got accepted into Rutgers University, but applied as a Nursing major and did not get in to the program. So I was to attend the Camden campus in the Arts and Sciences instead of New Brunswick Nursing. I opted for another school in which I was actually accepted into the nursing program, and now want to transfer. I graduated high school with a 3.7. Oddly enough, my current GPA is a 2.94 receiving a C+ in biology and a B or higher in all of my other classes. Since biology is my intended major (it is still officially undecided), this is majorly freaking me out. I applied as a biology major to Rutgers to the NB Arts and Sciences. I was the only freshman nursing major in that biology class. Everybody else was an upperclassman and/or pre-med. I know I am doing much better this semester. There is nothing else that I possible want to make into a career. I know I can just major in biology for four years, graduate, then spend 18 months at UMDNJ, but I would really prefer not to.

Does anybody know that if I go to Rutgers as a biology major and do well, if they would eventually let me in to the nursing program? Is there anything I can possible do? Is there any person I could contact at Rutgers (or anywhere) that could fully help me? Should I contact an Admissions Counselor and discuss my undecided major? Should I ask to send in my second semester grades, as my grades have significantly improved (especially in biology)?
