Rutgers Transfer Student - Scholarships??

My child will be transferring to Rutgers this fall. He is at a top 50 private school transferring in with a 4.0 to the School of Arts and Sciences for Computer Science. According to the Rutgers transfer website there doesn’t look to be any scholarship $$ available. Is there anyone out there that has received merit money as a transfer student?

No, but if he maintains a 3.7 gpa he can apply for the SAS excellence awards for his second year- the application comes out in june- I transferred as a sophomore and got one for $2,400 for my junior year. Rutgers is kind of cheap with scholarships, unless you’re an incoming freshman admitted to the honors college, or qualified for the presidential scholarship, that’s basically where all the money goes.

Rutgers transfer scholarships are geared to those who attended community college - for instance the PTK scholarship. As the previous posted stated - Rutgers is a state school so scholarships arent as abundant as private schools. Sorry

Thank you @popcorn15 and @njf2203

Does any one know if you can double major computer science with business?

@shmadd My son passed on Rutgers Business School Honors because this dual major could not be done without extending his time. While most SAS majors can easily double major, the business school’s curriculum is too credit intensive. Also, whereas someone from RBS can take classes and double in a SAS major, SAS students need to be admitted to RBS before doing the reverse.
