I'm considering transferring to Rutgers, but I don't believe they offer any merit scholarships to transfer students. Is this correct? Is there any way I may acquire a merit scholarship?

If you’re transferring from a community college there are some merit based scholarships:[Rutgers | Rutgers Admissions](http://admissions.rutgers.edu/Costs/Scholarships/TransferScholarships.aspx)

I would be transferring from NYU, so I’m guessing there’s no merit scholarship?

I don’t believe there will be anything from admissions, but sometimes a department gives out scholarships. You may not get one when you apply but once you’ve received grades for a semester or two, you’ll probably be able to apply for a merit based scholarship within your academic department.

Please don’t come here. I hate it so much.

^don’t listen to joopstah, he/she has a history of trolling.

How many times am I allowed to apply? I believe today is the deadline, and I’d like to make it for the spring transfer in case I really can’t stand staying at my college and want to go elsewhere for the second semester. If I apply now, get accepted, and choose to stay at NYU for the year to be sure, will this affect future admissions chances?
