I am applying as a transfer student to Rutgers. My high school grades were substandard, (around an 80 gpa, rounded up, like a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for my high school), and now I am a freshman at a private liberal arts college and for fall 2006, have a 3.5/4.0 so far. I slacked off in high school and didn't take SAT's seriously, but I honestly did work hard in college. SATs were so-so, 560/560/580. I am instate and am wondering if anyone can tell me what my chances are for transfer, and if Rutgers would positively take into consideration my better performance in college?

you willl bee accepted. dont worry

wait you didnt get into rutgers before with a 560 and 560???

No I didn't get into Rutgers w/ a 560/560 before, there were many reasons for that. My grades had been dropping starting junior year, and my counselor sent in my transcript but they didn't get it, or lost it. When i tried to have it released again, my counselor told me to wait, since it takes them weeks to post up the receipt of credentials. Anyhow, they didn't get another one till March. I was rejected in April, or rather, put into the dual degree progam, which I declined and decided to come to the college I am at now. I worked hard here and got a 3.5 for fall, now hoping to make it in this time.

Anyone else?
