Applied September 21 and still haven’t heard anything. I am a transfer from Brookdale with 4.0 GPA. I am trying to see if anyone else out there if waiting for their decision as a transfer. This wait is killing me! Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! I’m also hoping to transfer to Rutgers from Brookdale. I also have a 4.0. I’m hoping to finish my AA by Summer I. I just applied on January 14, and all my information was received by the 16th. Hoping to hear back soon!
Please let me know when you hear back! Thanks!
Hi I just applied yesterday and am anxiously waiting too Best of luck to you guys.
Thanks @indierach! My friend goes to Rutgers Newark and applied to all 3 campuses as a transfer. He said NB got back to him in about a week. My school (Brookdale) has a Rutgers NB info session with an admissions officer tomorrow so I am going to attend just to see if there’s any special info I can take from it.
Hey @ashtransfer no prob! Please tell us if you find out any information like when is the soonest we will find out or anything like that that!! It’s so nerve-wracking.
Hi guys! I just left the information session. The adviser there said they haven’t started looking at transfer applications for NB yet. She said they are starting “sometime in late January/early February.” It stinks that we will have to wait, but at least now I won’t be anxiously checking every day!
@indierach @Anxious10
@ashtransfer hey thanks again for the answer. There’s only six more days of January ugh. Also, are their admissions rolling I forget!
@indierach no problem! I think Rutgers does do rolling admissions, although I’m not too sure what that means for transfers rather than first year students. Does it mean first come first serve?
I think it means the same but I’ve been hearing people get their decisions at different rates regardless.
@ashtransfer Thanks for the information! Did the information session mention anything about the Freehold location via Newark?
@Anxious10 they mentioned a little bit, including the majors are based out of different schools, but that’s about it
i applied a few weeks ago to RBS and SAS. Went to a top public school and finished with a 2.8 GPA and a 24 on my ACT, and went to La Salle University for this year and this past semester i achieved a 3.34 GPA. Anybody know what my odds are? Really scared:/
You have a good chance! Anything above a 3.0 is good! Im nervous as I’m right at that gpa… @billyntransfer
Hey all! I’m really glad someone started this thread because I’ve been freaking out since early November, when I submitted my application. Does anybody know if Rutgers NB cares more about cumulative GPA or a positive trend and a solid current GPA?
Hey guys, let me know when you hear back so we have an idea as to when they’re looking at transfer apps. I’m hoping they start soon. Apparently they’re so behind that they haven’t even finished EA applications yet.
@ashtransfer ugh what!! that is so annoying. Today I got an email for assigning me a RU ID have you gotten that yet?
So even if you applied early for early action, it’s moot because ultimately we’re still “transfers.” That’s what I’m gathering from the lack of acceptances and the collective anxiousness…What a tedious game! Meanwhile, I’ve been checking my screen every day since September (yes, I’m that crazy person, haha)
@indierach I got that about 3 days after I applied, so probably January 17th. They’ve been emailing me random things about the application process that every stupid gets and it’s kind of a tease in my eyes! Haha
@ashtransfer yeah right I really do not like it. Like why assign me with a number please look at my application hahaha
