My daughter applied early action nursing and hasn’t heard anything back
At this point everything is random. Trust me I feel for your daughter. I had to wait until yesterday to find out about my nursing schools but engineering was decided a few weeks ago. Hold strong for your daughter. She will eventually get it.
Same here
My kid applied because like many NJparents we told her she should but having to wait so long she has just completely lost any interest in the school, especially with so many acceptances elsewhere.
same^^^^^^^
Same. Rutgers NB is my daughter’s number one choice, but the wait is exhausting. She got acceptances to all the other colleges she applied to (except NYU, but that comes out April 1st).
It is still very early in the process. There are quite a few schools that have not sent acceptances. RIT in Rochester not until March. MIT not until March. To say that someone lost interest because they had to wait so long may indicate that they felt forced to apply and do not want to go to Rutgers. Would someone say the same about MIT? Like Tom Petty sang, the waiting is the hardest part. We know several students at Rutgers and the Honors College, and they love their Rutgers experience. Keep the faith!
Does anyone when merit scholarships may come out for NB and when they do, how will they be notified? Is it usually mail or email/portal update?
Interested to know about the same. Following.
Package through mail or email?
I heard the Fin Aid comes out in March. That was when my brother got his a few years ago.
I actually reached out to Admissions yesterday to inquire about this, as it is the only school that my daughter hasn’t received this info from that she has been admitted to.
They said: Please be aware all scholarship recipients will be notified in late February or early March about any merit-based aid they are awarded by the university. Only those who receive a scholarship will be notified of this as well.
Thank you for the information! Did they say how they would be notified?
No, they didn’t really share anything more than that. I’m a little surprised by the lack of information, comparatively at least. I had assumed that applying EA would mean we’d have all of the facts we’d need to make a decision during that time frame.
Thank you!
Has anyone here still not heard back from RutgersNB? I applied mid October, wondering why its taking so long. I applied to EMSOP so that might be the reason…
i am still waiting for rbs and sas nb, admitted to rbs newark
As per Rutgers site all EA decisions will be release by Feb-15th so 1 more week to go
me too
My son was accepted to EMSOP on 12/10. He applied first week of October.
Good luck!
