When are they going to make the Fall 2023 application available? So far it’s still the 2022 application.

I read somewhere in an August email that it’s coming out the beginning of September. Nothing since.

Having already received a postcard from The Ohio State University announcing that their application is open, it is very disappointing to me that Rutgers can’t be bothered to at least put a banner across the top of their admissions page saying something about the expected date applications would open.

There were a lot of glitches with the Rutgers application last year.

The application is finally up. However there is no link to the SRAR. So not sure if that is no longer required or it isn’t available yet.

Rutgers is still listed at the SRAR website, so I’m pretty sure it’s still required. You can probably link it directly from the SRAR website after the application is started.

Yes you should see a link after you start the application process.

I got a email from Rutgers a few weeks ago with a link to begin the SRAR even though the application wasn’t available yet.

For SRAR, does anyone know if you need to put in HS final grades for each year or do you need to provide more details like quarter grade. HS transcript likely to have only final grades. My son is going to ask his school counselor for guidance.

You report whatever is available on the unofficial transcript. If it’s end of the year grades only then that’s what you enter.

For the GPA it says entered Weighted AND unweighted GPA, transcript for school only shows Weighted GPA, what do I need to do with the unweighted one?

You can calculate the unweighted GPA using 4.0 for A, 3.0 for B, 2.0 for C, etc.

Add .33 for a ‘+’ grade and subtract .33 for a ‘-‘ grade.

My son submitted his application through the common app about a week ago. The portal shows a check mark for both his application fee and SRAR. However, there is no check mark for the SATs. He sent his official scores about 5 weeks ago. I wonder if just takes time for Rutgers to match up the score reports and reflect it in the portal? Anyone have a similar experience?

How did your son apply to Rutgers in the Common App?

Hoping someone can help! My son went to create his Rutgers community ID to fill out and submit his application today but keeps getting the error message: ‘we can’t log you in because of an issue with single sign on error’. Tried clearing out and starting over and even using a different e-mail but keeps getting same issue. Has anyone seen/had that? Can call admissions but not til monday and he wanted to submit this weekend. Appreciate any suggestions anyone may have.

Seems to be a system error. Might get fixed some time over the weekend.

You are right! My mistake, it was not the common app. It was the Rutgers Application.

Did you try a different browser? My son had issues with Edge today but was able to sign in on Chrome.
