Rutgers University New Brunswick Honors College Question

I was wondering if anyone knew the requirements to get into the Honors College at new brunswick. For example the SAT?ACT (mainly ACT because that is what i want to send), GPA, and any other ECs or such that would look good.
ACT: 31
GPA: 3.85
Classes: All honors and AP, except Spanish…worst grade was a C+ in Hnrs. Physics :frowning: Besides that all B+ and As
EC: VP of Robotics, Secretary of Math League, Treasurer of Science League, Mock Trial, Future Medical Professional, FBLA, Environmental Club
Boy Scouts, Varsity Tennis and Captain, Rec Soccer, Volunteer 600+ hours (hospital, library, CFA, Boy Scouts)
Not in NHS not because of grades but because only top 20 students make it and sadly im 24, will not being in NHS hurt?
And do you think i have what you would need to get into Rutgers and its honors college?
I want to major in Bio-Medical Engineering and then go on to Med School (Hopefully lol)
Rutgers is one of my top choices so i hope to attend if i get accepted
Thanks

My son was admitted to Rutgers Honors College. Not sure what the deciding factor was. He also had a 31 ACT, a few AP’s, varsity sports, work, volunteering hours and NHS. His GPA was 3.6 when he applied. He submitted his application to Rutgers on Nov 1 and applied to Business School and Arts and Science, he was accepted to both schools and honors college for both as well. Every school has different requirements for honors college so keep that in mind. Good luck!

Do you know where i can find the requirements for the honors college?

For School of Arts & Science
"Admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program is competitive and is based on a variety of factors including high school academic record, test scores, and extracurricular activities. In general, students with outstanding high school grade-point averages and SAT and/or ACT scores are offered Direct Admission to the program. The only specific requirement for consideration for Direct Admission is a minimum SAT Critical Reading score of at least 600 or ACT composite score of 30. No separate application for Direct Admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program is required.

The School of Arts and Science Honors Program Committee will review the records of all admitted first year students to the School of Arts and Sciences to select students who will be offered Direct Admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. Only students admitted through Direct Admission will be notified no later than February 15, 2016."

For School of engineering
“To participate in the Honors Academy, students must meet certain academic requirements, including minimum SAT scores (Math 750+, Critical Reading SAT-I 650+, and combined SAT score 1450+), high school ranking in the top 5%, and achievement on the Rutgers math placement test.”

@baxter That’s for the Honors Program and Honors Academy not Honors College. HC is something different.
@helloworld148 They don’t have any set requirements. You just have to be well rounded and stand out amongst the pool of applicants. They send out a little more than 500 invitations but in the end there will be only 500 students in each incoming HC class. Here’s their site: https://honorscollege.rutgers.edu/information/frequently-asked-questions

@Aly310 Thanks for the clarification. My husband works at Rutgers and I didn’t even realize it was different. It is kind of confusing with all the different “honors” names/programs.

No problem! I know, they really are confusing

is there a class rank requirement?

my sat is a 2140 but im only in like the top 25% 8 APs some ECs and a lot of volunteer hours
