Rutgers University (SAS) general science courses and professors.

If you have attended or are attending Rutgers University-New Brunswick (SAS), please describe your experience with the science classes. Considering pre-med route. But heard many stories that students are weeded out because professors don’t even care about their teaching method, not reachable and students suffer and have no choice but to switch majors and reconsider their career in medicine.

The biggest weed out classes for premed studnets are Calc I/II, Bio I/II, and Chem I/II. If you took AP Calc, Chem, or Bio and scored at least a 4 on the exams, you could easily bypass these weed out classes by applying for AP credit.

Some other weed out classes that you’ll definitely have to take are Anat & Phys I/II and Orgo I/II, which should be manageable if you take easy electives the same semester.
