Rutgers Vs Drexel

ok so i got accepted into both and i am trying to decide between the drexel co op and rutgers.
i want to go into marketing
its kind of a big problem because i feel the drexel co op would do good for my chances of getting a good job later on and i can learn and gain a lot from the co op. i feel job experience is important.
BBBBBUUUUUUTTTT rutgers has an excellent business school, is well known, AND im in state so it would be MUCH cheaper.

please post your opinions, they are very much appreciated. thanksss

if you are getting a scholarship on top of in-state tuition i'd say rutgers

i doubt i am, i heard they cut the scholarships for state schools or something like that.

i've heard drexel is pretty bad with financial aid

check out www.**************.com and type in Drexel and other schools...great website with opinions of current/past students

i would say stick with Rutgers

good luck in your decision!

www students review . com

thanks, i was hoping there would be a website like that. buttttt the majority of the student input on the website is pretty old.... is there anything newer?

I know that Drexel does not have the best looking campus. And while I'm not 100% sure, I'd bet that it's located in a part of Philly that you wouldn't want to be wandering around in after dark. I have a friend that goes to Drexel though who does the Co-op for engineering and I've never heard him complain about it, but I think he also commutes.

So I think I'm a little biased in saying Rutgers. Maybe you can track down some current Drexel students on here and ask them how they like it?

i have, and now i'm leaning towards drexel but my parents arent happy about that lol. i proconned it and they kind of balance out now its really down to the money, coop, and the fact that drexel has suite style housing available. counting the scholarship i received to drexel, rutgers is about 8 thou cheaper per year, and one year less so in all it would be something like 52000 more to go to drexel. thats the amount it would cost without factoring out the money i could receive from coops. in my opinion, the work experience i have the chance to get from the coop will help me in the long run money-wise, and i'd much rather live in a suite than a dorm if i have the chance. what do you guys think??

Drexel would be more expensive and doesn't really offer any advantage that would make up for the difference.

If you choose your school based on it's dorms then you're going to regret it later on. Rutgers has suite style dorming anyway, and you can always rent out an apartment later on. I understand that co-op is important, but considering NYC is a short train ride away, and there are a lot of big and small businesses around central jersey, you should go to Rutgers.
