damit, cant decide. would u say that one has a big academic advanatge over the other? in terms of location, fordham owns, and i have a $7000 scholorship for fordham, but i still would want to go to the more prestigous school....even though they both arent really that prestigous lol.

Rutgers is both more prestigious and cheaper.

Major? Rutgers is an excellent school and an excellent value. Fordham is not in the same league.

they are ranked pretty closely, i assumed they had about the same presitge, but i am quite shocked to find this out.

Rutgers, especially if you have in-state tuition.

im out of state....does that change anything?
im going for a premed program....major will be like biology or something
lincoln center is really cool , but i guess fordham is a pos school compared to rutgers...going by the above posts.

lol,i think i dislike new jersey as a whole, is rutgers really alot better than fordham?
yea, as u can tell, i didnt really put alot of thought into this, i was set on going to NYU....untill i got rejected

yea fordham sucks. Rutgers actually has people who want to work. The academics = better

not to thread hijack but what is best rutgers campus, especially for biology, and grimreefer - which rutgers campus will you be attending?

I think it's really stretching things to say that Rutgers is a clear winner here. Both of these schools are going to provide a solid education. Neither is going to bowl anybody over with prestige, but neither is the sort of place you have to apologize for attending.

These places have very different locations and types of students. Visit them and your decision will be easy.

If you dislike New Jersey as a whole, you wouldn't be alone. And if you go to Rutgers you will be very deep into the whole Jersey thing.

rutgers college@new brunswik campus
fordam @ lincoln center
where can i find average mcat scores btw?
i thought i was set on rutgers, then i was watching saturday night live on saturday, and the intro painted such a dam glamorous picture of new york lol, made me have to rethink not going to fordham.
also, im worried that the lincoln center campus might not be great for premed, it seems most ppl do premed at rose hill.

I would schedule a visit to Rutgers and Fordham. the college experience is more than study, study, study take mcats and go to med school. I believe that you should enjoy 4 years of college no matter where you attend.
