Rutgers vs. GaTech for Grad Electrical Engineering

I had started a new thread earlier on UMich vs Gatech. Now I came across something important that I thought I might discuss.

I was wondering how Rutgers ECE compares to that of GaTech's. I was going through Rutger's grad manual, and their admission criteria are really tough. I mean average GRE of admitted candidates for Rutgers (V=620, Q=750, A=4.5) as compared to GaTech's (V=540, Q= 760, A=4.0). Similarly their GPA requirements are higher (minimum for Rutgers is 3.5 as compared to 3.2 for GT). So is Rutgers better than GaTech in overall quality of their ECE program, esp. Graduate?

i might consider rutgers if you are in state, but georgia tech is the more prestigous of the two.

Definitely go to Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech is MUCH more prestigious than Rutgers. Also, I have heard very few positive things about Rutgers. Go to Georgia Tech!

600V as a baseline for admission to Rutgers ECE seems unreasonably high for an engineering program considering that’s the 80th percentile for all graduate students – including humanities students.
