As of now, My top 2 choices are Rutgers and Pitt. Which one would you recommend
here are the estimated price range:
Major: Computer science
I live in New Jersey
Rutgers: 27,000
PITT: 35,000
which one would you recommend?
I kind of like the atmosphere of being in the city and overall pitt just appeals more to me than Rutgers. I have visited Pitt and felt like I belong there?
So is the price difference worth it do you think?
Pittsburgh–rocks! but 32,000 extra over 4 years is serious $$$$.
if your family can afford it I would do pitt(100% first choice)…but,if it means debt or struggling… stick to rutgers (IMO)
Pitt all the way. It’s not even a question which school is better. Most rational people would pick Pitt. It’s certainly worth the extra money.
I would choose Pittsburgh, unless it means you’ll be getting into tons of debt. Rutgers isn’t a bad school.
Seems to me that this decision has to be made within the broader context of your (family’s) financial situation. For some, 8K difference (or 29% increase) is not much. For others the added 8K is unaffordable. Depends upon your family’s situation.
