Rutgers vs uconn

So i'm an out of state student but i live in CT... so UCONN is about 10k cheaper for me.. i'm planning on going into a biology major(pre-med track) .. and both schools are considered exceptional.. but I was just wondering what were people's take on RUTGERS-NEW BRUNSWICK..I heard that the campus isn't that great..?
I have already been accepted to both.. I just want to know any useful information..

Thanks!

If you are instate... go to UConn... I would only recommend Rutgers to someone that is a current new jersey resident. Take that $40k you would be paying to Rutgers over the next four years and put it towards a masters degree one day... you will be happy you did.

I would check out the other threads, esp the one on social life and the other about safety. They're mainly about the campus, if that is your main concern.

and about rutgers, it's not one campus; there are four--five, if you count cook and douglass separately--to choose from. each campus has their own specific feel. so if you dislike one campus, which is popularly the livingston campus, you just put that one last on your housing app so it's less likely that you will be placed there, and frequent and live on another campus, like douglass, which is beautiful. sure you'll have an occasional class on livingston, especially if you're doing business, but you're not; you're doing bio, so you'd be going to busch a lot.

Okay, I'm sorry. This was just one long circuitous way of saying that if one campus isn't that great, you have at the very least three more to choose from. but then there are the buses, which I happen to like for whatever reason, but yeah, missing the bus/traffic can be annoying if you're trying to get somewhere, like class.

and I don't know much about uconn except that I know some kid who goes there and that they're good at sports, I guess.

go to uconn, rutgers isn't worth oos tuition

Definitely UConn.

uconn......save the money for a masters
