Yeah who knows… It is all true true true, BUT the NCSA info session just really turned me off… I would rather be at a school that had a positive point of view about it whether that is realistic or not. They even went on to say… “And guess what, most actors are stupid so what do we do? We make our actors take math because lets face it… You are all going to be waiters at some point in your life and will need to learn to add up the bill!” He then began to laugh as if he were laughing at all of us for choosing this profession which I thought was so odd. It really turned me off about the school. But that is just me. In the end at all of these schools as I have said many times on here it comes down to the actor alone. You get what you give. You are lucky if you get into ONE of the schools… And the ranking thing is just stupid. That is maybe the only thing I didn’t like while there they kept pressing the “top 3 in the country” thing… Which may be true to some people but not all. No school can top another because they are all so different… Really, they all are! And who ranks them? And from what standpoint? it is just ridiculous. I am satisfied enough with knowing the school is one of the to programs in the country. Although, their were a handful of people I met that transferred from a lot of these top programs (boston, purchase, ncsa…) to rutgers after their freshmen years because they didnt like them… Again though, that is just a SMALL group’s opinion of many.

I confirmed my decision to attend the other day! I was choosing between NYU, NCSA, CMU priority waitlist, Fordham, Purchase, and Rutgers… I chose Rutgers-Mason Gross in the end because I feel as though it is the program that fits me best… I am currently reading “The Actors art and Craft” by William Esper… I would advise anyone to read it if they are considering the program… I was told it basically follows the first year at Mason Gross (roughly)… GREAT BOOK!

Congrats, that’s great. Congrats, that’s great. Congrats, that’s great. Congrats, that’s great. Congrats, that’s great. Congrats, that’s great. Congrats, that’s great … :)
