S/NS Option?

Anyone know any potential downside to utilizing a S/NS option on a class that isn't a pre-req or needed for my Areas of Knowledge?

I'm strongly considering it since I am not doing too hot in a class right now, and I don't have any need for it really.

I’m in the exact same position as you right now. I’m taking a class which was supposed to be an easy class, but I guess everyone thought wrong. I’m also contemplating on whether or not to change it to S/NS, but now I’m actually worried that if I do change it, I might have a change of getting an NS which is pretty bad! I did horrible on the first midterm and it ain’t gonna get any easier!

I don’t need this class either so if I do change it, I’m fine with just getting the elective credit.

Either one of you still have the option of using your annual drop? If so, you still have until the 18th to use it. Also, if its not a pre-req or major requirement and you think its going to kill your GPA, I would totally use the S/NS.That being said, once you decide to use the S/NS the threshold for passing the class raises a bit.
