Ah! Perhaps the confusion (my confusion!) is that the Nursing program was re-named a few years ago.
I wasn’t trying to correct you! Just hoping the information would be helpful in case you were concerned the program was too new. My niece had a wonderful experience. Passed the NCLEX first try and has always had a job!
I wonder if there was a naming when that brandy new building opened? Boy, that simulation suite is something! My daughter has on her list of acceptances Emmanuel College in Boston and that program is definitely new. It does give you a bit of a pause.
No worries! I appreciate the info!
Yes, I think the re-naming had to do with that building- it really is something!
It seems like a great place all around, a strong program with tons of resources.
I know you said getting there is easy peasy for you, but coming from MA that Connecticut route down 95 is miserable:). DD tells me last night that she’s thinking she wants to be in Boston because of the clinical options there, so that leaves Emmanuel and the crapshoot tomorrow that is Northeastern. Her sister is at Northeastern and her brother is next door at Wentworth so maybe, just maybe we will have hit the single location trifecta!
That would be fantastic! Yes, that I95 trip is the PITTS from Boston.
Good luck!
Did you get look at Emmanuel? We are signed up for an open house on the 5th. They were pretty generous and the hospital locations relative to the school can’t be beat. Did your daughter like the campus?
Yup, we did a couple of years ago as we are in the area often. There’s a new wing on a building for Nursing. We have a family friend that has a daughter in the inaugural nursing class, and I plan to reach out to see her experience. Emmanuel has had grad programs for a long time so I’m thinking they did a good job with the BSN program. We’ll be there on the 5th as well!
