I mean, wow. Affirmative action is a tricky question, but these guys certainly aren't doing much for their cause (especially the scene at the end where the students charge the front).

Typical idiots. This is what white supremists show to futher their cause. The one girl who was so afraid of her spot in nursing school was not going to be there if affirmative action was not present needs to study hard enough to get into school or get a life. If you are not qualified then you should not be there. Life just isn't fair sometimes.

It also perpetuates the myth that there is a shortage of spaces in college.

The demonstrators were supremely uncivilized. Sadly, this happens quite often. I read about a group called BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) using such tactics, like blaring out the opposition. And black militants used it in the 60's and 70's- One held a building ransom at Cornell, while heavily armed (see http://www.hooverdigest.org/994/sowell2.html). The president of the university caved in. Look at the recent elections in Detroit. (The winner was known to be somewhat corrupt. As the Economist put it "How to make race an issue in an election where both candidates are black." The other candidate appealed to older blacks and whites as he was more serious, less of a thug- the other pitched himself as a hip hop mayor- and more conservative.)

Administrations still look the other way for black-on-black or black-on-white crime, but anything, even coincidentally, white-on-black is a "hate incident"

Administrations still look the other way with regard to minority fail-out and academic probation rates.

etc, etc

...and, like 30 years ago, every failure is still solely due to racism.

isn't the third member (the guy who the kids throw the table at) black? My video card is dead so I'm having some color issues with video playback -- I can't really tell, but he certainly looks black.
