I got a 210 on my SI for my PSAT and I am in Virginia, but I am pretty sure its gonna be like 2-3 points off from getting the NMSQT… Are my chances of getting into an ivy ruined cause of this… I was so close and I prepared too!! Feeling frustrated and regretful of not checking my work now
No top schools do not really care about NMSQT and they do not give their students money for their students. They really only care about your actual SAT/ACT score.
Ivies don’t give a flying hoot about NMSQT lol. Don’t worry about it, just focus on your gpa and SAT/ACT which are much more important.
Time to move on and focus on doing well on the SAT/ACT. In addition, you need to be prepared for ups and downs in this college process – try not to let any one thing get you feeling too high or too low.
Do not worry about it. We live in an area with the highest cut off score and my daughter missed by one point last year. She (and her parents) was in the hunt for merit scholarships so this was really disappointing to her because she felt shut out of some really great opportunities. However, in the end she go an excellent merit scholarship offer and is loving her school. It will work out for you too.
PSAT doesn’t matter at all.
