Sadly i have to admit...

Sadly I have to admit that once I do practice problems, i think its fun taking the SAT. I mean for some reason i get this excitement whenever i look at a question?? Its weird. ETS those *******s

I'm not sure how to respond to that lol

that was actually pretty sad...or may be you just like to do problem solving and testing to see how many you can get right and you get really happy when you know you are doing well while taking the test...

No, it can be fun, to a degree... especially with something you can do well at...

I somewhat enjoyed taking the practice math sections, but maybe it's just because I hated the reading sections so much....hmm

It can boost your self-confidence if you're good at it :-P

no, it can be fun. if you are really prepared for the test.. you can look at it as what challenges they have for you, rather than how challenged you will be ;P

OK...if you're having fun taking the SAT, go for the Olympiads...if the fun comes from being presented with challenges, you will love the Olympiads...but if it comes from knowing you're doing well, all of that goes out the window once you try an Olympiad (yes, I still can't quite get over the fact that I got a 17% on the USACO Open...)

Unfortunately, I can kind of relate.

Heh. I can relate, but once you've been doing them for 4 hours with almost no break it isn't all that fun anymore.

I liked taking SAT practice tests before the College Board rolled out the new SAT. Darn essay. I like challenges, but I also like the feeling of satisfaction that comes from doing something that most high-schoolers (ones you wouldn't find on CC) fear so easily. It's symptomatic of my bloated ego.

Only the math section is fun b/c its so easy! :)

When I finished writing the SAT, I felt empty. Yes, empty. I was upset.. I didn't want it to be over. Taking down all the vocab words from my bedroom walls made me teary eyed.. The best part was the math section.. I loved it! I didn't like the Verbal though.. but I still missed it when it was over.. That's kinda sad isn't it?

That is very sad. Extremely sad. Teary eyed? Am I the only one that thinks that is a bit extreme?

Yes, I'm also a closet mathophiliac. I remember taking practice tests with enthusiasm just because of the math section--so much fun!!

It must've helped, I got 800M.

I wish our school had Olympiad/Mathletes...

i think it's fun too, especially the math sections. it's fun doing problems and knowing it's one step closer to 800.

I loved AP tests after about my 4th one this year.. 5-6 were pure ectasy.

I like taking SAT practice tests. I am very goal oriented. I think it is comparable to trying to get new personal bests in cross country or track. lol

haha woot for PR's i got a personal best in the 200 m last meet......and no i dont get happy from SATs

yia i guess you could say there is some driving force behind trying for the perfect score or somewhat

Yeah, sadly I can relate... more on the math side for me.
I'm 12 and taking the math iic in june. I like math. Kinda wierd...
I like verbal too, but writting? It sucks!!!!!!
I want the anologies back!!!!!!!!!

I am open to critisism.

i hate analogies
