Safeties for internationals not seeking aid?

Preferably in the northeastern/atlantic region...

Take it from me that I have really good grades, a >2350 SAT score and passionate, focused ECs.

Wha…you scored a >2350 on your SAT? How much did u get?

And, won’t you be needing any aid?

And what do you intend to study? Maybe I could help u! :)

I’d like a school that’s strong across the board.

Lets just say that my score is…high :)

You can make any school out of the top 30 your safety. Really.

i agree with thegame

Yeah and since your not even seeking aid you get a good advantage over other intl applicants too.

I agree with the game.

There are a few schools which consider international students in the same pool of applicants as American citizen if you’re not applying for aid. You should search for them. I think one of them is Duke. Top 30 schools that do not provide aid to international students should be a good safety.

I was thinking of URochester. Would that be good enough?

I don’t think so. He should aim for at least a UCLA.

She, I’m a she!

And I’m not into the whole big university scene…small universities/LACs for me.

Safeties: Any good LAC that has a relatively lower international student population. They would like you because you can pay your own way, and because they want a more diverse student population.

Love your SAT scores. Did I tell you yet that you should apply to Bryn Mawr?

Bryn Mawr is more about a matter of personal choice, I guess. You could aim at Amherst, Midd, Williams, Swarthmore, Pamona and similar top-notch LACs.

You still haven’t told us about your intended major. =/

No Bryn Mawr, I’m really not into the single-sex schools.

I have no intended major. That’s why I need a place that’s good all around :).

The problem is that there are just scads of nice liberal arts schools in the northeast and mid-atlantic region. If you don’t need any financial aid, just about any of them would like you and could be considered safety/matches for your stats. Have you run any of the search engines such as [College MatchMaker - Type of School](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board) ?

Have you thought of Rice?
They put internationals who apply for aid in a separate pile than those who don’t.

Yes I am thinking about Rice, but isn’t that a tad too selective to be considered a safety?

You have amazing stats, I don’t think it would be that difficult for you.

P.S. You can also try Dartmouth! Its a close-nit Ivy. :P

Lol. I’m applying to Dartmouth as a reach :)

That’s true but with your stats you stand a better chance than a hell of a lot of other people out there :stuck_out_tongue:
AND you’re not applying for aid, so I think it’s more of a match than a safety?

Dartmouth is a match?! Dartmouth is need-blind so I don’t think it makes that big a difference…
