My college search thus far has gone pretty smooth and I have compiled a list of match/reach schools to which I will be applying:

Cornell
Penn
Georgetown
Brown
UVA

The problem is, I am having trouble picking out saftey schools. I have high expectations of myself so I don't want to attend a "safety" school that will not please me. So far the only school I have been able to match as a saftey that I would enjoy going to is Villanova. PLEASE reccomend me some other safeties.
Criteria is: Northeast US, Good Reputation, Nice Campus, Strong Academics (areas I will be studying could range from premed to int'l business with possible minor in music or film).

Tufts - wide range of studying, great sciences and international relations, nice campus within easy reach of Boston...
not quite a safety but maybe a good option

Tufts is a bad safety these day, not dependable...neither is GW, most likely... Boston could be a safety tho...again, I suggest Maryland...American mught be good too.

its very hard to determine what can be a safety for you without seeing your stats. but, based on what you've picked out, the following schools are easier to get into:

Everyone's starting to use BU as their safety. As flattering as it is, it's kind of annoying for those of us who WANT to go to BU as our first choice. I just hope i'm not losing my spot because of this crap.

Tufts is almost as difficult to get into as most of the Ivies (& easier than Cornell) - How on the name of Earth can nearly anyone call Tufts a safety, or even a match for that matter? They had 16,000 application and 26% admit rate. You CC'ers are horrifically confused! GW and Tufts are not even on the same plane of thought!

yeah i saw kids with amazing stats choosing Tufts as their first choice and hoping they'd get in...definitely do not apply to Tufts unless you want to go there, b/c if you don't it'll show in your essay and you will not get in.
