Safety at CUA

I have a daughter who may be attending CUA in the Fall.
When I look at crime maps I feel concerned. I checked the campus police website and they don’t seem to give any stats.
Is there cause for concern? I figure that on-campus it’s fairly safe, but what about the neighborhood around CUA?
If she wanted to live off campus in the future, is it safe to rent in a walkable area?
Thanks for any input.

I don’t know much about safety or crime in the area of CUA, but all students are required to live on campus until their senior year (unless they live at home within 20 miles). Across the street (Michigan Ave) from campus there are beautiful apartments that our tour guide told us some of the seniors live. It seemed very safe and only steps (across one street) from the campus. We were very impressed with the college and the campus - its was very beautiful and peaceful…and pretty large for a school with only around 3,000 undergrads.
