Safety at JHU campus

S was admitted to BME at JHU. The offer is really attractive. Our biggest concern , after reading about recent events is the safety issue on campus. Any feedback from current students would be appreciated.

I think JHU understands it has to be aggressive in terms of assuring safety. The school has a free shuttle to take students to the Inner harbor, etc. so that they don't have to walk through the rough areas.

the recent deaths were supposedly the deeds done by people the victims knew, which eases some concerns of random murders. any big city school will be equally safe or lackthereof but i have heard that it is very safe, as long as you are smart and prudent. plus like bigmain said, there are now lots of actions being taken to assure safety (however it makes you wonder why they werent taken before)
