safety business schools

my top 3 schools so far (in order) are BC, villanova, and lehigh but i don't really have any safety schools in mind. i was curious if any suny schools were particularly good at business, or what other (safety) schools in the northeast are good for business. a quick look at my stats: 2010 SAT, 3.88 gpa all honors/ap's (7 ap's when i graduate), play 2 instruments very well (15 years combined), xc/indoor/outdoor track 4 years, vice president of class 4 years.

thanks!

bump dzbdfb

Villanova probably would be a safety for you.

Bentley?
Northeastern?
Babson?

Also, NYU (Not really a safety, but you'd have a good shot).

SATs are too low for Villanova's business school. Thats actually a competitive school to get into despite what you may think...

check out miami (oh)

I think Bryant University is your safety. Look at this school; they have great facilities, very beautiful campus and good business program. (It’s a business schools)

Miami(OH)
Michigan State, they have a top 25 Business school, UG not sure what they have
Northeastern

yea im thinking of going back to boston to visit northeastern

SUNY Albany has a reasonably highly-regarded business program, check it out if you're looking for a safety that is a good value.

SUNY Buffalo
Rutgers

Metfan, look at BU, Indiana, Temple, Maryland, Rutgers, Penn State, Ohio State, UMass, UConn

look at big-10 schools. Most of them have strong business programs and you would be able to get into many of them.

I would say Babson. They've got a pretty strong entrepreneurial program, and they accepted me despite the fact that I didn't send in my supplement or processing fee.

By the way, is that GPA weighted?

unweighted, school doesnt weight/rank

Also, what is your SAT out of 1600?

indiana isn't on the east coast, so sorry if that's a stringent criteria, but it is very easy to get into arts and sciences and then transfer into the business school (you need a 3.0+ and all the pre-reqs, which are very few), which will be better than most all others listed.

He'd get direct admit into Kelley. Also, I almost went there and from what I saw, the pre-reqs. were pretty insane.

^^ yeah, he has a shot, but the arts & sciences > kelley route is a definite safety.

The Pre-reqs to getting ACCEPTED are an accounting class, which is pretty difficult, as well as a business computer class (A101 and K201, respectively). There a lot more pre-reqs to beginning icore, but those are after you've been accepted

Yeah, I just looked at what I wouldve had to do to get into Kelley (I didnt get in direct admit) and it was pretty extensive. Tons of math classes including calculus. I got into two other business schools and wouldnt have to take calculus at either of them.

oh yeah sorry, you also need calculus and economics (intro micro and macro).

I forgot about those, i was thinking only classes within the business school.
