Safety, Match, Reach Please?

Can someone put the schools I am applying to in Safety Match Reach Order?
Here is a little about myself:
I am currently a junior, but projected by senior year grades.
GRADES/SCORES
GPA: 3.82UW 4.31W
11 (AP + Community College Courses)
SAT: 1490 (Might retake to get into 1500’s range)
Subject Tests
Math II- 790
World History- 750
ECs:
Vice President- Robotics Team- 10th Grade (FRC)
President- Robotics Team 11th Grade (FRC)
Several Robotics comps won and several awards won.
Religious Tolerance Scholarship Program in Foreign Country (Don’t want to reveal to much) 5% of all applicants accepted
Voting Member Official Youth Government Board
Voting Member Youth Philanthropy Board
Community Service Project Student Ambassador(Basically Founder) of a technology based non for profit
Performing Magic tricks for sick children at my local hospital on weekends, multiple scholarships awarded.
MIT Launch- Treasurer. 11th Grade
Babson Summer Program (I already got in for this summer)
UofT DEEP Program (Already got in for this summer)
Work Experience in a Law Office.
Some more ECs I can’t list as it will reveal to much about my location and school, a few of them are really good, but I think the list I have so far shows that my ECs are/were pretty strong.

Hooks?: Upward Trend in UW and W GPA: 9th Grade W GPA: 3.73 10th: 4.28 11th: 4.57., 504 non-mental disability, pretty decent reason for GPA drop in 9th grade year on top of my 504.

I believe my essays will be pretty good when I write them.

Both my letters of rec. will be amazing my junior teachers love me, and my GC will write me a personal letter rather than the template letter.

Let me know if you need more info!

PS. Before you ask YES I can afford to go to every school on my list without FA
I put what I consider the school next to the list M= Match/Target R= Reach S= Safety ED= Early Decision EA= Early Action RD= Regular Decision.

List:
NYU (Stienhardt or LSP chance for both) Will Probably Apply ED (M For Both)

Babson College (RD) (M)

USC (RD) (M)

UNC OOS (Don’t think i’ll get in because i’m OOS but let me know) (RD) ®

Boston College (EA) (M)

University of Washington (Chance for Washington and Foster School of Business) (RD) (S For UDub) (R For Foster)

University of Toronto (St. George Bachelors in Commerce) (RD) (M)

Norte Dame (EA) (M/R)

CMU (I don’t think i’ll get in but what the hell) (RD) ®

Indiana University Bloomington (Kelley School of Business) (RD) (M)

Cal Poly SLO (RD) (M)

Bentley University (RD) (S)

Do have some personal hooks as well, that can push me over the edge for a couple schools, will PM if requested.

NYU: High match.
Babson: High match to low reach.
USC: High match.
UNC: Mid to high reach.
BC: High match to low reach.
UDub: Match.
U of T: High match to low reach.
Notre Dame: Mid to high reach.
Carnegie Mellon: Mid to high reach.
IU Bloomington: Match.
Cal Poly SLO: High match.
Bentley: High safety.

Your list is very…random. These schools are all quite different, would you be happy at all of them? Pare your list down a bit, perhaps…add another safety.

You are correct in most of your predicted match/reach/safety listings. I would consider NYU LSP a safety and Steinhardt a match, though.

@KingBibi Are you sure about NYU and Babson, and USC Being high matches? I thought LSP would be a low match/ match for me. My scores/GPA also seem to be in the 75th percentile for USC and babson. Same with UofT, according to a friend my grades are good enough, but the essays are whats going to trip me up. Same with IU Bloomington I am pretty much 100 percent sure i’ll get in. a 3.82UW a 4.31W and a 34 (converted to ACT) above the 75th percentile.

Admissions at top schools always have an element of chance to them, given that there’s generally more extremely-qualified applicants than spots. I’d probably never consider NYU, Babson, or USC lower than a solid match unless your UW GPA was a 4.0 and you had a 1600 on the SAT, or you won the Intel STS, or something really distinctive like that.

@KingBibi That makes sense, but NYU’s LSP Program isn’t really a “top” school, same thing with Babson. I am probably going to not apply to CMU or Norte Dame when I think about it. My UW Sophmore year was a 3.71 and Junior year was a 4.0 if that changes anything.

Looking at Babsons admissions statistics from last year my stats are above the 75th percentile for both SAT and GPA so a High Match- Low Reach seems to be in the 35-50 percent range I believe? It just doesn’t make much sense that if my GPA and SAT are so high compared to those from last year how could I only be a High Match- Low Reach.

They’re selective enough – generally admitting fewer than 30% of applicants.

@KingBibi I guess that makes sense, but LSP and Stienhardt admit 40-50 percent of applicants, which is far more than the other NYU Schools. My GC said admit rates don’t matter as much as class stats, for example a have seen several liberal arts schools with 20 acceptance rates and admit students with pretty low GPA/SAT scores.

BTW I hope I don’t sound like I am arguing I am just confused. If my scores and gpa is similar to students in the 75th percentile how can my chances possibly be so low?

@KingBibi Hope I didn’t come off as bratty, just want to understand your reasoning.

NYU Steinhardt has about a 30% accenptance rate, though it varies slightly by major. LSP is about 40 percent (applying to spend your first year abroad, like LSP London, has about a 50% acceptance rate.)

I’d definitely put Steinhardt down as a match and LSP as a solid safety.

GPA: 3.82UW 4.31W
// Good GPA; 8/10 because of a bit off UW.

11 (AP + Community College Courses)
//Good number of APs and Dual Enrollments/CCs; 9/10 because it is a mix of AP and CC, not complete APs.

SAT: 1490 (Might retake to get into 1500’s range)
// Good SAT score; 8.5/10. It’d be better if you hit 1520+.

Subject Tests
Math II- 790
World History- 750
// Both good SAT Subject Test scores; 8/10 because of not a perfect Math 2 score. But having 750+ on both subject tests is still very exceptional.

// No comment.

I believe my essays will be pretty good when I write them.
// It should be, as essays weigh a lot. Check CDS of each college and go to Page C-7 for more details. No rating due to lack of information.

Both my letters of rec. will be amazing my junior teachers love me, and my GC will write me a personal letter rather than the template letter.
// It will be better if the rec letter writers are teaching the subjects you are majoring in. But having an in-depth relationship with them is very crucial as well. No rating due to lack of information.

//I will not say what’s safety, match or reach for you since I only look at STEM and CS schools, and I suck at ranking other schools.

You cannot go EA to BC or Notre Dame if you go ED to NYU. They are restrictive (at least they have been, check and see if that policy holds). For Notre Dame, which you might be taking off, unless you are above the 75th on your score, you will likely get deferred. Are you applying Business everywhere? If so, CSOM at BC is a low reach and is very competitive to get in to. But you have a good chance for sure. Kelley at Indiana has exact stats so you should know if you will get direct admit when you apply. I think you exceed the stats there so you can consider that a safety for that reason, but it is a great business school nonetheless.

@collegemomjam Im not applying for Business at BC. Do you know what my chances would be if I applied undecided or for Econ at Morrissey CAS? I am not planning on applying to Norte Dame anymore. Kelley is a safety for me, because I am 100% confident I will get into Indiana and when I get in I will be directly admitted to Kelley because my ACT exceed the score of 30 required.

@HardOREasy My UW is actually a 3.78 I calculated it incorrect.

@Jack1212 I doubt that small change will make a difference.

Also, as you might know, some schools use their own grading system, so your GPA may completely vary as well.

@collegemomjam following up on the comment I made above.
