Safety school for pharmacy

What would be a good safety school for pharmacy if I have only a 1750 on the SAT? I would prefer to go some where in the north-east mid Atlantic?

Hmm…This is a bit hard to answer because Pharmacy works a bit like nursing in that you generally have 2-3 years of prerequisite work you do at a typical 4 year school and during the last of those years, you take a test and apply to different pharmacy schools. There are only a handful of direct entry or guaranteed entry pharmacy programs in the nation, so there is good news and bad…Your test score won’t matter to most pharmacy schools when you apply as they are going to be more concerned with your score on the Pharmacy admissions exam and your grades during those prerequisite years. Many kids nowadays go ahead and get a Bachelor’s degree before going off to Pharmacy school…So lucky for you - the SAT won’t matter in most cases.

Also, it doesn’t matter in most cases where you do your undergrad work…SChools look at applications from everywhere, so you could pick any school and work hard on your Chemistry grades and prep hard for the Pharmacy admissions exam and you should be able to get to your goal…Keep in mind that admissions for those schools is quite competitive, so every grade will count during your undergrad work.
