Safety schools for English or journalism major

Hi, everyone. I'm trying to finalize my college list, and I'm specifically looking for a couple of safeties. My composite test scores are fairly average, but my English and Writing scores are good. I'm interested in either an English or journalism major. I'd like a school in a more urban area with a great campus life. Size doesn't really matter, but I guess ideally I'd prefer smaller schools. (And yes, I do realize I have UT-Austin on my list, haha.)

Stats:

SAT: 1850 (retaking it next month)
ACT: 28

GPA: 4.0-ish weighted, not sure about unweighted
Top 15-20% of my class

And here's my preliminary list:
Emerson College (match)
Boston U (reach)
Elon U (match?)
Austin College (safety)
Southwestern U (match)
Trinity U (reach?)
U Colorado-Boulder (safety)
U Texas-Austin (reach)

Any suggestions would be great! And any info you can give me for these schools is welcomed, too. Thanks!

Check out the Columbia College Chicago. I stumbled upon it and it seems interesting. It claims class sizes are around 25 people so its small in that regard. It emphasizes a hands on approach and specializes in journalism, media, and the arts. It seems to fit what you want.

I've looked into it before, and while it does seem interesting, I think it's a little TOO safe, you know? Apparently it doesn't have the greatest reputation. Thanks, though!

How about University of Miami.? My S is a visual journalism major there. The department is very solid and has a new multimillion dollar facililty that was just built.

Hmmm, that's definitely one I haven't considered. I checked it out, the journalism department does seem strong and I like that they seem to have a strong English program as well, especially with a creative writing major. I'll definitely consider it. Thanks!
