Since forever, I have wanted to be a curator. Well, through a series of very fortunate events, I was accepted into SAIC for a BA in Visual Critical Studies (which a very generous scholarship).

Can I get into Harvard/NYU/Courtauld graduate school Art History program with a degree from SAIC (School of the Art Institute)?

My only fear is when I apply to these graduate schools, they won't take me seriously because I received an academic degree from an art school. And although this is a very presumptuous question, I have to ask: Will it at all possible for me to become a Rhodes Scholar coming from this institution as well?

I can’t comment on the art, but I would look at the Rhodes Scholar site. They look for particular things. Typically, winners have a much more liberal arts background though.

The BA in Visual Critical studies is about:
13%—Core Studies
27%—Studio Art courses
31%—Liberal Art courses
14%—Art History courses
14%–Electives

The degree is a BA and has its strongest concentration of Liberal Arts (at least 45% if you count Art History as LA). I also plan on using all my electives on LA and languages

Well if you can fill the recommended prerequisites, there is certainly no harm in applying.

I believe so, if you were a hardworker. I looked at risd or other art schools’ catalogues and their staff educational backgrounds, they graduated from saic, mica, risd and often went to yale and other places for grad. Anything is possible when you’re working hard!
