Sailing Schools?

what sailing school would be best with a 3.35 GPA

Is that your unweighted GPA? How have you done on the SAT or ACT?
I just looked at Sailing World’s April 2011 coed college rankings.
Most schools on the list are out of reach with that GPA.
Here are a few options: St. Mary’s College in Maryland, Charleston, Hobart/Wm. Smith, Old Dominion.

Check out St. Mary’s of Maryland:

I was thinking Washington College

[Sail-World.com : Boston tops latest College sailing rankings](Boston tops latest College sailing rankings)

St. Mary’s College of Maryland is a beautiful school in a beautiful waterfront setting. Academics are good, too. It’s hard to judge admission chances based on GPA alone, but with a 3.35 average SMCM might be a good match.

Also, Roger Williams University (RI) and Christopher Newport (VA).

As a current student at St Mary’s, a 3.35 may be on the low end of the spectrum for admission to SMCM; test scores, EC’s, and teacher recs are all important.

Average SAT scores average at about 1200/1600 and 1800/2400.

Our sailing team is top notch. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

[Hobart and William Smith Colleges](http://www.hwsathletics.com/index.aspx?path=msail&tab=sailing)

Hobart & William Smith, great academics, nice location!

Anyone else have some imput?

Take a look at Eckard College in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Alright thanks

other thoughts? I have a 3.27 gpa now
and a 25 ACT score

UNC-Wilmington?

College of Charleston, maybe?

Have you tried reaching out to any sailing coaches yet?

Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Yes I have, Do yall think I could get into University of Vermont, CNU, Purdue, also still up for suggestions on other schools
