Saint Paul's School Wait List

Hey guys,

I was put on the wait list for Saint Paul's School. I just want to know the chances of getting into Saint Paul from the waiting list and the amount of people in the list. Also, when do they start callling? Thanks!

The only thing I have heard about SPS is that this boy got off the WL is August!

I am on the waitlist for SPS.

Did anyone receive a phone call from them yet?

I don’t know about SPS specifically, but I doubt they’ll know anything until tomorrow because today is the deadline and they have to sort everything out.

Ok thanks. I ink that they would call today because that’s what the school said in their email. It could also possibly tomorrow, or even August.

Which email?

I think @Olkerpaw56 means the notification that you were put on the waitlist, but correct me if I’m wrong.

^ The notification that you are off the waitlist. My friend just got a call that she’s off a waitlist to a GLADCHEMMS school…:p

Which school??

Yes, @Sundlun. I do mean the email from when you were put on the waitlist. What school did your friend get off the waitlist from?

She didn’t tell me (it’s a rather secretive classmate I am talking about); I’ve narrowed it down to either Choate or Hotchkiss. I know she only applied to three schools, and she has these funny facial ticks when I guess the other one. :p

@GoldenRatio Haha, cute how you know your friend so well you can decipher her ‘facial ticks’.

So is it possible to be taken off today just via email, or via call, or both?

I believe my friend got a call, which will be proceeded with a letter? I hope you get a message in your mail soon-about you know what!

From past post, people have said that they were taken off the Saint Paul’s School Waitlist on April 9th and 10th. However, it doesn’t seem like the case this year. I have been waiting all day for that one call or email to see if I am taken off.

Do any of you think that the people who didn’t apply for financial aid had a higher chance of getting in?

Well, the reason why I got onto the Hotchkiss waitlist was due to financial aid (our family asked the offices recently…) Besides, if you need financial aid, not only will a spot have to open up, but the school has to scrape together the money to offer to you.

Waitlists are super random. It could’ve happened this morning, it could happen in August. Sitting around (which I’ve done plenty of!) won’t help. Try to distract yourself. I know it’s hard.

And I think that non-FA applicants do have a better chance because schools only need to free up a space and not the funds. Good luck!

Stargirl3, I better see you taking your own advice! ;)

Thanks guys! I applied for financial aid, because I can’t afford the full 50,000! That’s expensive! But thanks anyways. I guess I shouldn’t be so obsessed about getting off the waiting list today because they could call in August.

Yeah, don’t worry. I needed a lot of financial aid, too! An acceptance is possible! :D
