Sale on Computers

I didn't realize this until I got to the apple store but there's more of a discount than just a free Ipod.

The lower end macbook $1099 is $1049 after student discount.
The mid and higher end macbook is $100 off.
The Ipod nano is a free 2gig nano, not 1gig which I was thinking before.
You also get a free $100 printer which I wasn't aware of until they told me about it.

If you have any questions about the apple laptop, just let me know. I bought mine yesterday and couldn't be any more satisfied.

Hands down it's better than the Sony laptops, after I was able to compare the two one on one in person.

lol, we all knew about the sales when they came out. How is the Heat Issue? The Flickering screen? Also could you get the Printer at the store? Microsoft Office is $50 off did u pick a copy up? I didnt see it in your discount list.

nice, and welcome to the world of mac. There awesome, I have one right now and love it. Which model of macbook did u get? did u get more ram?

wait, so does that mean that you can get rebates for both ipond nano and the printer with the same purchase? i was thinking since these are two seperate rebates, it would be too generous for Apple to do this.

I haven't had any problems with a flickering screen, overall I think the screen looks very good. My only problem I noticed today was when I went outside to surf the net was that in bright light the monitor can't be seen as well, however if you angle the screen in the right direction it shouldn't be a problem. Now about the heat, it will get warm, however I can set it in my lap after it's been on a few hours and it won't burn me by any means lol. But yeah, for the most part I'm really happy with it. When the sony vaio only gets a max of 3.5hrs, has a lower end processor, cost $300 more, and doesn't give you free stuff... that made the decision easy.

I currently bought the white macbook, but went with the 2.0ghz with the DVD/RW. I didn't upgrade the ram because I find that it'd be cheaper for me to do it by myself. They sorta rip you off when it comes to upgrades lol.

So did the apple store have all the printers in stock?

When I went I didn't have a problem getting one.

how about the moooooing? Where the fan starts and stop between 64 and 69 degrees C

To be honest, I haven't even heard any noise from this laptop besides a tad at the start. I've yet to really hear the fans run. This thing is pretty much dead silent.

wow i think that solidifies things, ill be picking a macbook up within the next month. thnx for the info.

I'll probably get a macbook too, as soon as my stipend check comes. Or sooner, if I borrow from my parents :)

those things are freaking awesome. People kinda overreact to the problems, I have one friend who pre-ordered his macbook pro as soon as it was announced and got one of the first few off the assembly line. He had a few problems but they were all minor and he just went to the apple store when he had time.

i like the new line of macbook pro's but not so much the macbooks. they are great...but i have a few problems with the design of the macbooks. i really hate the keyboard and the black macbook. the white one is bearable but again the keyboard seems really unworthy to be on a apple computer. apart from that i think the macbooks are great. however, if i were to recommend a computer, it would definitely be from the macbook pro line. they are simply better and the 15" is perfect for college. I currently have a powerbook but i am planning on upgrading to a macbook pro. by the way, welcome to the mac community and believe me u will always be happy. its a great machine and a good investment.
