<p>Sallie Mae got much stricter a few years ago. I don’t think you can qualify since you don’t have the income necessary.</p>
<p>Since you need to borrow for all 4 years, it’s doubtful that Sallie Mae will work out for you. </p>

<p>Unless this student can apply and get an answer long before deciding which school to attend, I don’t think that applying and finding out is the answer.</p>
<p>His choice of school will depend on whether he can get approved for all four years. His parents can’t co-sign since they’re already “on the hook” for his sister’s loans and the parents are having to pay those loans back since the sister can’t. </p>

<p>To qualify, you must meet the underwriting qualifying req’ts. Unless you have a good-paying job, how would you qualify?</p>
