Assist lists a class at my school (Sac City) as a prereq, sadly the actual class doesn't exists due to budget cuts I suppose. That same class is available at a different school in the district (ARC) but it is not listed on assist as fulfilling the prereq. It's the same exact class in the same district so does anybody else have prior experience with this type of situation?

There are no constraints that you have to take all your classes at one community college. You’re free to attend as many as you want and now with the federal and state budget cuts it’s actually fairly common for CC students to take classes at multiple CCs to transfer on time. I myself had to send transcripts from 5 different CCs when I enrolled.

The only time there can be potential complications are if you need multiple courses in series to satisfy one prerequisite and you try to take them at different CCs. For example, say on the Assist website it lists Philosophy 101 and 102 together to get credit for Phil 1A at Berkeley and instead you take them at different CCs them it can be a little tricky. You can still do this, you just need to make sure the curriculum is the same for
that 102 class at one CC as it is at the other. If it’s just a direct one to one articulation on Assist.org, it’s fine.
