^^You better not get rejected. It wouldn’t make sense. Hang in there!!!

I’m not sure but such a wide range in the admitted student’s SAT scores exists. I know one who recently got accepted with a SAT score in the 1500s and another student with a SAT score in the 2200s.

I’d like to assume that admission officers grab the personal statement first, and if it is compelling enough then they continue on to other factors of the application… Because both students I’ve mentioned above did not have outstanding leadership nor stellar community involvement.

Well a girl at my school got accepted last night, 3.9 and like an 1820- VERY little EC’s…I’m gonna call them tomorrow and unleash a rage

has your status changed yet?, because my status has been the same as yours ever since novemeber 25th as well :S

^ nope- what’re your stats?

i havea 3.3 1980 SAT with 7 AP classes thru senior year
first gen college student and great essays will most likely be my trump card and not to mention i know ppl from my school thave have less gpa got in as well…

urs?

My D loged into the online chat with admissions on Tu & Th nightst between 4-6 I think.

Anyway she’s been on last reviewed status since dec 6th, so she asked them on like when she might hear something…they said mid march.

@LTempleton: She could hear something before mid-march, too. It just depends when they decide to review her application, I suppose. If her status was already up and was the last reviewed one since Dec 6, I’m assuming she applied priority. Usually, people who apply priority hear back around mid-march, but some hear back before.

Odd, I’m surprised about the random score ranges of those who got accepted, especially those without E.C’s. At my school, at least 30+ people got accepted, and no one had a SAT score lower then 1950, all the people with scores below that are still waiting.

@viet0wnage. I too am perplexed, a bunch of 1600s and 1700s at my school got their letters in the massive admittance marathon in late January. I didn’t feel like they had strong EC’s, and reading some of their essays (after the app had been turned in), I didn’t feel like they showed great essay writing skills or really conveyed much about ‘themselves’ to the admissions officers. Funny how that works.

@BubbleTeaChibi. I couldn’t agree more with you.
