I am in a situation, you have all probably heard of already. My friend and I are taking the same course, but with different teachers. Even though we are taking the same course, my teacher is much more difficult than his, leading to my grades to be lower. My question is: Do colleges take into account the difficulty of the teacher whose course you’re taking or just the course itself? Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, just the course itself. Apart from your ranking in the class as a whole, colleges only consider your GPA in context of how difficult your courseload seems from the titles of the courses.
A harder teacher may help your grades in future classes/ on AP tests/ on the SAT/ACT, so it may end up helping you in the long run. Try not to worry too much - do your best.
Good luck!
